This role requires full-time onsite presence at our Toronto office to support collaborative team dynamics and innovative problem-solving.

BitGo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Custody organization. You will help us build resilient, robust services that enable customers to securely store and access their cryptocurrency while complying with global regulations.

Responsibilities :

• Design and develop scalable, well-abstracted APIs, libraries, and services to support our API-first platform
• Own functionality and scalability features from conception to deployment and customer integration
• Document and expose functionality to the UI, third-party developers, and internal/external tooling
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and implement fixes
• Research and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency
• Participate in code reviews and foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine product requirements
• Mentor peers through code reviews and best practices education

Skills & Experience :

Required :

• Minimum 6 years of experience in back-end and server-side development
• Strong skills in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and Express
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Experience designing RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of microservices and service-oriented architectures
• Experience with testing, debugging, and code review tools
• Proficiency with Git, CI tools, and branching strategies
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from a top university
• Interest and understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology

Preferred :

• Experience developing consumer-facing crypto products
• Experience building public APIs in production
• Full-stack capabilities and familiarity with React
• Experience working with clients or business partners
• Knowledge of digital wallets and ledgering

Pay Transparency Notice: The role offers a base salary between $180,000 - $240,000 CAD, plus equity and an annual performance bonus, depending on experience and location.
