A global leader in marine HVAC-R systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The role involves designing and programming control systems, troubleshooting, and ensuring the functionality of HVAC-R systems on marine vessels. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 5 years of relevant experience, and strong skills in PLC programming and AutoCAD. Reporting to the Automation Controls Director, the Electrical Engineer will work with the project team to design and develop systems, install (commission), troubleshoot, repair, and program control systems for Marine HVAC (including electrical, algorithm and software design) for Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems installed in large marine vessels. The incumbent will play an important role as part of a team to develop products and systems for global projects by embracing new controls/technologies and working with shipyards globally to reduce ship cabling and build costs through innovative solutions. The Automation Engineer will also act as the company expert in Electrical Systems during installation (commissioning), troubleshooting, repairing and programming control systems in vessels.
