Job description
Experienced Airport/Aerodrome Air Traffic Controller – Kelowna Tower (2 Positions)

At NAV CANADA, we navigate Canada’s skies, supporting pilots across 18 million square kilometres of Canadian and North Atlantic airspace. Our Air Traffic Controllers operate from towers, handing out clearances and instructions to keep aircraft safely separated during takeoff and landing. They maintain a safe and orderly flow of air traffic within the airport’s control zone and on runways and taxiways.

We’re building a place where everyone thrives; to do so we need people from all backgrounds. If you want to shape the future of air navigation, we’re seeking two (2) Airport/Aerodrome Air Traffic Controllers for the Kelowna Tower at 4880 Old Vernon Road, Kelowna BC V1X 7V6. This is a full‑time, permanent opportunity.

Why Kelowna?

Kelowna Tower places you at the heart of BC’s Okanagan Valley, overseeing traffic from commercial airlines, agricultural operations, emergency services and recreational aircraft. You’ll experience a mix of operational scenarios while enjoying an enviable work‑life balance.

End your shift with a vineyard tour, hit the slopes at Big White in winter, or paddleboard Okanagan Lake in summer. Kelowna is affordable and delivers exceptional quality of life.

The Okanagan’s aviation sector is expanding with more tourism, cargo and emergency services. You’ll join a tight‑knit team where your expertise has a direct, visible impact.

What NAV CANADA offers you:
  • Extended Health Benefits, Dental Benefits, Sick leave, Long Term Disability, Basic Life Insurance, Business Travel Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance and Pension Plan

  • ATC Premium of $10,117 CAD per year upon successful completion of training (ATC Premium level 5)
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities
