We are looking for a passionate individual to join our lively downtown rental store with our top-of-the-line bikes and accessories, expert advice from our knowledgeable staff, and local tour maps perfect for a “Pick your own Adventure” in the beautiful city of Vancouver, British Columbia.

We are seeking a seasoned store manager with a ‘take charge’ attitude, who is experienced and enthusiastic about bicycle-culture, bicycles, cycling, and the tourism industry.

Position

The duties of the Retail Store Supervisor are as follows:

1. Manage and coordinate all staff members to ensure a smooth roll-out of our day-to-day operations.
2. Ensure that our “customer is always right” approach is implemented from top to bottom.
3. Manage budgets, revenue, and cash flow.
4. Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure the store has adequate stock and resources.
5. Monitor market trends by staying up-to-date on in-demand bicycles and ski equipment.
6. Develop marketing and promotion strategies and align with local events and the busy tourist season.
7. Interview, hire, and train new staff members. Address staffing issues as they arise.
8. Resolve customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
9. Review sales volumes and merchandising reports to ensure profitability is maximized.

Requirements

The job requirements for Retail Store Supervisor are as follows:

1. Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a bicycle retail and rental environment.
2. Experience with bicycle touring and basic bicycle mechanics.
3. Advanced working knowledge of operation and safety protocols required with E-bikes.
4. Exceptional verbal and written English skills.
