Job summary
A nonprofit organization seeks a volunteer financial advisor to mentor and coach chapter leaders in financial practices. This role requires 5-15 hours per week and involves ensuring budget compliance, fostering communications, and attending various meetings. The ideal candidate will have strong mentoring skills and financial knowledge, contributing to the chapter's financial wellness and member development. Local candidates preferred, but remote applications are welcome.
Qualifications
- Self-awareness of strengths and motivation for volunteering.
- Desire to mentor and coach collegiate women.
- Ability to lead educational conversations with collegians.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and coach Financial department officers.
- Review monthly officer reports for improvement.
- Ensure timely chapter budget creation and submission.
- Accountability for members' financial commitments.
- Monitor budgetary spending and follow up concerns.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Foster open communication and conflict resolution.
- Attend advisory board and financial department meetings.
