We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Mines Technical Services Team in Thompson, Manitoba. This is a permanent position on site in Thompson.

Flexible work arrangements – Remote or Onsite

As the Senior Mine Engineer you will be responsible for creating, designing and developing engineering processes, procedures and practices to support managements set achievement of targets. They will role model a safety program that promotes a culture of safety and health of all employees working in and or with the Technical Services Department.

• Lead short- to medium-term mine planning and provide execution guidance for mining processes, including support for LOM planning, scheduling, and monthly stope reconciliation and data analysis.
• Design and optimize production, development, and ventilation strategies; maintain documentation for short-term ventilation needs and contribute to medium- and long-term plans.
• Develop and maintain underground service systems for End of Mine Life, including ground control standards, dewatering strategies, sump and pumping station designs, and related technical documentation.
• Prepare annual budgets, support medium- to long-term strategic initiatives, and participate in mine-related projects such as ventilation upgrades, construction, feasibility studies, and equipment procurement.
• Collaborate with internal business partners to identify and implement operational improvements, leveraging operational excellence methodologies to maintain high quality standards.
• Generate and manage performance reports, implement corrective actions to address deficiencies, and foster a culture of safety and engagement throughout the organization.

• Demonstrate expert-level organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize duties and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Show proficiency in Deswik and other modeling, scheduling, and ventilation software, as well as advanced skills in MS Office applications.
• Exhibit exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal, enabling collaboration with individuals and teams at all organizational levels.
• Maintain a high attention to detail, strong work ethic, professionalism, and discretion, consistently solving problems while upholding confidentiality.

• Engineering degree in Mine Engineering with a Professional Engineering Designation Preferred.
• Eligible for registration as a licensed professional engineer with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba

• A minimum of 5 years of technical mining experience is required.
