  • Collaborating with CNL project teams and subcontractors on multiple remediation sites to develop, implement, and execute the RVSOP process.
  • Ensuring compliance with PHAI RVSOP requirements through regular site inspections, gamma and contamination measurements, and data verification.
  • Organizing, planning, and advising CNL staff and subcontractors on RVSOP processes while providing on-site coaching and guidance.
  • Supporting the development and execution of standard checklists, forms, report templates, and training materials.
  • Meeting Historic Waste Project (HWP) quality requirements as defined in the HWP Quality Assurance (QA) Plan and associated procedural documents.
  • Assisting in reviewing and developing technical documents and critical records.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
  • Education
    • University Degree in Science; however relevant experience would be considered.
  • Experience
    • 3 years of relevant environmental remediation experience, verification, and clearance of contaminated sites.
    • Radiological Clearance would be regarded as an asset.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to persuade, influence, and educate a range of audiences (e.g., Project Management, community stakeholders, subcontractor leads, and labourers).
    • Demonstrating progressive thinking and the ability to solve novel problems in a tightly regulated environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to apply scientific and mathematical principles, statistical methods, and basic laboratory techniques.
    • Strong sense of individual accountability with the ability to work independently and maintain high levels of self-motivation.
    • Ability to successfully complete required formal and on-the-job training to qualify as an RV Oversight Officer.
    • Proficient in using software tools such as Excel and Word to support documentation, data entry, and analysis of Radiation Protection results.

  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
    • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions:

  • Must have sufficient mobility to work in a construction environment with the potential for uneven footing on various surfaces (soil, mud, gravel, and pavement).
  • Must be able to wear standard Personal Protective equipment, including a CSA‑approved hard hat, safety glasses and footwear.
Why CNL?

Does working with a team across Canada to advance nuclear science and technology for a clean and secure world speak to you? We're reinventing ourselves to be the pacesetters so we can lead the charge in solving the problems that matter, like building the next generation of clean nuclear and hydrogen energy solutions, developing new and better‑targeted cancer treatments, and continuing to lead the world in environmental remediation.

We offer a complete total rewards package:

  • Paid time off (vacation, sick, floater & personal);
  • Benefits effective day one, that’s right, no waiting period;
