Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Sustainability Data Analyst to support corporate sustainability reporting in Calgary. This role requires strong analytical skills and 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, ideally within ESG contexts. You'll collaborate with a variety of teams to translate complex sustainability data into actionable insights. Working closely with cross‑functional teams including Finance, Investor Relations, Legal, HR, and Communications, you will help translate complex sustainability data into clear insights that inform decision‑making. Your work will directly contribute to building a credible, forward‑looking sustainability program that evolves with emerging trends and regulatory expectations, positioning the organization as a leader in responsible business practices.

Your Responsibilities
  • You’ll support monthly and annual corporate sustainability reporting across climate, water, waste, circularity, and nature‑related workstreams.
  • In this role, you’ll gather, organize, and validate sustainability data from internal systems and third‑party sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • You’ll analyze sustainability data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • You’ll build clear and compelling materials that communicate sustainability strategies, goals, and metrics to internal and external audiences.
  • You’ll synthesize scientific research, reporting standards, and emerging ESG trends into actionable insights for the business.
  • You’ll partner cross‑functionally to ensure alignment with reporting targets, frameworks, and compliance requirements.
  • You’ll actively promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies, supporting a strong culture of safety.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, ideally within sustainability or ESG‑related contexts.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Data Science, Environmental Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field is an asset.
  • Experience or exposure to sustainability reporting frameworks and greenhouse gas reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
