Ready to Make an impact? The Deli Manager is responsible for the efficient and fiscally responsible operation of the department. The Manager will lead and manage staff to achieve the highest level of customer service, while adhering to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, corporate policies and Health and Safety, and other programs and initiatives. The Manager will also manage budgets, labour costs, inventory control, product presentation and merchandising. The Manager will coach, motivate and develop their team to foster customer loyalty, fulfil customer needs and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.
- People Leadership: Create a coaching and development culture, demonstrate outstanding leadership, manage direct reports, communicate operational requirements.
- Store Operations: Oversee daily store operations, ensure cleanliness and safety, manage inventory, merchandise products.
- Customer Offering: Create a shopping experience, provide superior customer service, demonstrate product knowledge, manage promotions and seasonal trends.
- Policy/Regulatory Adherence: Lead implementation of corporate policies, ensure compliance, submit required documentation.
- Financial: Ensure department achieves financial targets, maximize sales and margins, control labour cost, manage budget.
- Professional Development: Attend training, stay informed on industry trends, recommend pricing and promotions.
- Employee Engagement: Support employee engagement, lead community activities.
- Other Duties: Coordinate maintenance, provide feedback for improvement, maintain safe environment.
- Above average communication skills (oral and written).
- Full knowledge of department operations and skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Full knowledge of total store operations.
