Marmot Basin Jasper Alberta Rentals & Retail Supervisor
Position Summary: The Rental & Retail Supervisor oversees the day-to‑day operations of the Rental Shop, Retail and Town Stores, Online Retail, Staff Scheduling and Guest Services. This position plays a key leadership role in staff supervision, customer service excellence, inventory management, and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Rental & Retail Manager and Director of Skiing, the Supervisor ensures alignment with departmental goals and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor Rental & Retail Staff across all locations.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and performance reviews.
- Coordinate scheduling and shift planning to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Foster a positive team culture with a focus on accountability, collaboration, and guest experience.
- Address and resolve staff performance issues and customer escalations professionally.
- Oversee daily payroll review and approval in collaboration with the Manager.
- Ensure smooth daily operations in the Rental Shop, Town Store, and on‑mountain retail spaces.
- Oversee inventory control: ordering, receiving, pricing, merchandising, and loss prevention.
- Monitor the use and maintenance of rental equipment and coordinate repair schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols (WHMIS, WCB) and operational procedures.
- Optimize sales floor organization and product presentation in line with seasonal trends.
- Maintain high service standards and model exemplary guest interactions.
- Support the team in resolving guest concerns and troubleshooting transactions or bookings.
- Maintain accurate tracking of product movement, rentals, and inventory reports.
- Maintain and update documentation including SOPs, training manuals, and policy references.
Position Requirements
- English Fluency Level required for position.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in retail, rentals, or hospitality.
- Proficient in POS systems such as RTP, Inntopia, Aspenwear.
- Experience with inventory management, staff scheduling, and sales analysis.
- Ski/snowboard equipment knowledge and rental operations experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and team communication platforms.
