Reporting to the Chief Engineer and/or Assistant Manager, the 4th Class Engineer troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs facility infrastructure equipment and carries out maintenance and repair work as directed. This position is responsible for all building operations and maintenance of the facility infrastructure, and operates and monitors the boiler and all associated systems and equipment in accordance with the Nova Scotia Boiler & Pressure Equipment Regulations. The role may include general maintenance tasks throughout the facility. In special circumstances where approved, this position may temporarily perform duties of a higher-class Power Engineer to ensure coverage. Travel within the zone or other zones as needed. Other duties as required.
