Job description

Our client in Cambridge is looking for a Maintenance Millwright for the Afternoon shift & Night Shift.

Afternoon Shift: $44.66 + $1.00 shift premium

Night Shift: $44.66 + $4.00 shift premium

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install, repair, and maintain all production-related equipment.
  • Provide troubleshooting and support during all downtime events.
  • Comply with all necessary manufacturing practices, regulations, and standards, i.e., GMP, HACCP, WHMIS, MSDS, etc.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance activities as needed to improve asset health.
  • Maintain detailed records of all preventive and corrective maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Collaborate with the maintenance planner to improve preventative maintenance activities.
  • Complete maintenance reports and logs as required.
  • Ensure all production equipment is serviced as required.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment to lower utility costs.
  • Enforce established safety, health, contamination, and housekeeping policies and procedures to prevent injuries, lost production time, damage, and product contamination.
  • Ensure work areas are always clean and hazard-free.
  • Work safely and efficiently following legislated and company health and safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid Millwright license with proof of apprenticeship.
  • Able to perform routine machine shop practices (lathe & milling machine operations).
  • Experience welding stainless steel using TIG and ARC.
  • 2-5 years' industrial mechanical experience, preferably in the food industry.
  • Service, clean, and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on all production equipment (spiral ovens, freezers, formers, cartoners, tray pack machines, bread, and batter equipment).
  • Continually improve equipment function via design improvements.
  • Problem-solving skills and good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of appropriate health & safety and environmental regulations.
  • Must have Ontario Millwright License.
