$65,000.00 - $90,000.00 / year, Exempt, with a discretionary bonus of up to 10%.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Sensei Ag is seeking a dedicatedEnvironmental Health and Safety (EHSS) Coordinator to become a valued member of our dynamic team. This position is essential in supporting the Director of Global EHS as we collaboratively strive to identify, control, and eliminate workplace hazards while ensuring compliance with all environmental regulations.

Under the guidance of the Director, the selected candidate will assume responsibility for the Corrective Action Plan for their designated facility and will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Conduct workplace investigations regarding safety concerns, incidents, and accidents.
  • Deliver training and manage EHS-related training requirements.
  • Conduct routine workplace inspections, walk-throughs, and equipment checks.
  • Monitor health, safety, and environmental KPIs.
  • Implement site Safety Culture initiatives such as STOP, Safety Committee, etc.
  • Implement site-specific emergency response or evacuation plans.
  • Own the facility-specific Corrective Action Plan and act as the point of contact for all matters related to EHS.
  • Implement site security programs and initiatives.
  • Use PowerBI or Safety Program Software to create dashboards that demonstrate EHS trends.
  • Communicate and provide timely updates to the Director of EHS, Site GM, and others as assigned.
  • Coordinate environmental reporting requirements with third-party consultants to ensure compliance.
  • Assist the employee return-to-work program.
  • Be a strong voice, lead change, and collaborate with all business unit functions.

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an EHS role, in manufacturing, distribution, or greenhouse operations.
  • Working knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and legislative requirements relating to:
    • Health and Safety Act
    • Environmental Protection Act
    • Canadian Center for Occupational Health and Safety
  • Safety investigations and inspections.
  • Emergency response (spills, drills, simulations, and weather events.)
  • Proficient use of MS Office, particularly Excel and other data management (SafetyChain, etc.) software.
  • Experience delivering EHS related training.

Bonus points if you have...

  • Past military service.
  • Joint Health and Safety Certification.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor's degree in science, business, or another related field.
  • Must be able to obtain First Aid, CPR and AED certification within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Other certifications as required.

NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENTThis Non-Disclosure Agreement (“Agreement”) is dated as of the date set forth below (the “Effective Date”) and is by and between the undersigned (“Recipient”) and Sensei Ag Holdings, Inc. (“Discloser”) for the benefit of Discloser, entities and persons affiliated with Discloser, and its and their respective members, managers and employees (the “Discloser Affiliates”). This Agreement establishes the confidentiality and use obligations of Recipient with regard to certain information disclosed or made available by Discloser to Recipient for the purpose stated in Section 2 below.The parties agree as follows:1. Definition. “Confidential Information” as used in this Agreement means any and all information disclosed or made available by Discloser to Recipient or to which Recipient otherwise becomes privy in connection with interactions or discussions with Discloser or Discloser’s representatives, whether disclosed in written or other tangible form, or by oral, visual, or any other means. Confidential Information includes, without limitation, all information (i) that should reasonably be understood by Recipient to be of a secret, confidential or personal nature to Discloser or any third party, whether because of legends or other markings, the circumstances of disclosure, or the nature of the information itself and (ii) information relating to Discloser’s or Discloser Affiliates’ financial matters, investments, business operations, strategies, organizational structure or organizational charts, or other non-public information about Discloser or Discloser Affiliates, as well as the existence of any actual or proposed transaction, agreement or relationship between Discloser and Recipient and the terms of this Agreement. “Confidential Information” does not include any information that (a) was publicly available at the time it was communicated to Recipient by Discloser or (b) becomes publicly available after it was communicated to Recipient by Discloser through no fault of Recipient.2. Purpose. Recipient may use the Confidential Information solely for the purpose of a business opportunity of mutual interest (the “Purpose”), and not for any other purpose.3. Obligations. Recipient will, at all times and notwithstanding any termination or expiration of this Agreement, hold in strict confidence and not use or disclose any Confidential Information to any third party, except as strictly necessary on a need-to-know basis in connection with the Purpose to Recipient’s financial or legal representatives who have signed confidentiality agreements or are otherwise bound by confidentiality obligations at least as restrictive as those contained herein. Recipient shall take reasonable precautions to safeguard the Confidential Information from unauthorized disclosure and will immediately notify Discloser upon discovery of any loss or unauthorized disclosure of any Confidential Information. Notwithstanding the above, Recipient shall not be in violation of this Agreement with regard to any disclosure in response to a valid order by a court or other governmental body, provided that Recipient provides Discloser with prior written notice of such disclosure in order to permit Discloser to seek to avoid or minimize the required disclosure and/or to obtain an appropriate protective order or other appropriate relief to ensure that any Confidential Information so disclosed is maintained in confidence to the maximum extent possible. Nothing in this Agreement shall obligate Discloser to proceed with any transaction, and each Party reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate any discussions or negotiations contemplated by this Agreement.4. Return or Destruction of Confidential Information. At any time after the disclosure, immediately upon Discloser’s request, Recipient agrees to promptly: (i) return all previously disclosed Confidential Information to Discloser or (ii) destroy or erase (on all forms of recordation) all Confidential Information in Recipient’s possession or control and certify such destruction of all copies (including any archival copies) of the Confidential Information (and delete all forms of recordation in whatever media stored, whether in existence now or invented in the future).5. Termination. The termination of any other transaction, agreement or relationship between or involving the parties shall not relieve Recipient of its obligations with respect to Confidential Information disclosed pursuant to the terms of this Agreement.6. Severability. If any of the provisions of this Agreement are held invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall be unimpaired.7. No Warranty. ALL CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION IS PROVIDED “AS IS.” DISCLOSER DOESN’T MAKES ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE, REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS OR PERFORMANCE OF ANY CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION, OR WITH RESPECT TO NON-INFRINGEMENT OR OTHER VIOLATION OF ANY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OR OTHER RIGHTS OF ANY THIRD PARTY OR OF RECIPIENT.8. No License. Nothing in this Agreement is intended to grant any rights to Recipient under any patent, mask work right or copyright of Discloser, nor shall this Agreement grant Recipient any rights in or to the Confidential Information of Discloser except as expressly set forth in this Agreement.9. Remedies. Recipient agrees that any violation or threatened violation of this Agreement may cause irreparable injury to Discloser, entitling Discloser to seek injunctive relief in addition to all legal remedies.10. General. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of California without reference to conflict of laws principles. This Agreement may not be amended except by a writing signed by both Discloser and Recipient. Neither party shall assign or transfer any rights or obligations under this Agreement without the prior written consent of the other party. Any assignment in violation of this provision will be void.
