• Contact customers via phone, fax, email, or letter to update accounts to current status
• Reconcile and apply customer payments, ensuring accurate documentation of actions taken
• Monitor delinquent accounts and prioritize high-priority tasks for resolution
• Research and address customer inquiries related to billing and payment issues
• Process payments from delinquent customers and negotiate payment arrangements as needed

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of collections or relevant experience required
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of collections transactions and processes
• Strong organizational skills to complete system-assigned tasks within designated timeframes
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and other departments to resolve customer issues

• Experience in a fast-paced collections environment
• Knowledge of billing systems and customer account management
• Strong negotiation skills for payment arrangements and settlements
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively
