We are searching for a strategic community management and operations expert to join the International Community team and help grow Reddit outside of the US. This role plays a key part in helping Reddit realize its mission: bringing community and belonging to everyone in the world.

As the Senior Community Manager, you will be at the forefront of jumpstarting and fostering local communities in Australia. You will be an expert in the Australia market, proficient in English, and focused on proactive initiatives to build bridges with local volunteer moderators.

• Gain a deep understanding of the market to identify user and local moderator challenges, and market opportunities.
• Iterate, innovate, and scale the consumer growth playbook by recognizing new opportunities, suggesting bold ideas and programs, and persuading internal teams to align on new plans.
• Build strategic plans to cultivate, recruit, educate, and grow a local community of moderators.
• Communicate quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize and improve the international consumer growth playbook.
• Be obsessive about achieving aggressive goals and outcomes.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, set KPIs, and execute impactful community initiatives.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Community, Engineering, Marketing, Safety, and Business Development.

• 5+ years of community development, project management, growth, operations, or product consulting experience.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of Australian culture, including current events, politics, customs, traditions, language, topics of interest, and taboos.
• Nuanced comprehension of the digital landscape and the cultural intricacies inherent within it.
• Succinct and persuasive communicator: able to collaborate effectively across internal teams, local users, moderators, partners, content creators, influencers, etc.
• Results-obsessed: demonstrates outstanding execution and high attention to detail.
• Deep interest in developing and driving projects, framing issues and seeking solutions, testing hypotheses, and iterating on process improvements.

• Experience being a power user on Reddit.
