Key leader within a group responsible for performing process development, improvements, and sustaining efforts in a high-volume, multi-product manufacturing environment. This includes timely completion of small-scale experiments, scale-up, technology transfer, cGMP support for programs that bring new products to the commercial manufacturing phase, troubleshooting problems, analyzing data, and issuing reports. The individual will collaborate and communicate within the framework of cross-functional and multi-disciplinary process development, interacting extensively with research and development, manufacturing, facilities, supply chain, project management, and quality departments to develop and improve processes for new and existing products.

1. Lead process definition, improvement, design, development, sustaining, and quality testing activities in collaboration with Manufacturing, Validation, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Facility, and Regulatory Affairs.
2. Design, execute, and lead experiments for optimization and process robustness studies. Support manufacturing to address yield and quality issues and implement solutions to meet quality and production goals.
3. Lead technology transfer of multiple programs across all product lifecycle phases, including design, development, pilot, scale-up, and oversight of cGMP, engineering, and commercial manufacturing.
4. Serve as a recognized subject matter expert.
5. Support organizational and cross-functional project teams; advise management on goals and project direction.
6. Lead, train, and mentor team members.

Skills:

• Strong program and project management skills.
• Preferred experience in biotech industries.
• Proficiency in optics, imaging, chemical processes, and analyses.
• Knowledge of cGMP; FDA-regulated experience is a plus.
• Experience in high-tech, high-volume consumables manufacturing.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Competency in programming languages for data querying, analysis tools, and simulation models.

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
