Job summary
A prominent contact center solutions company based in Halifax is seeking a Senior Database Administrator responsible for managing and securing databases across cloud environments. The successful candidate will ensure optimal performance and availability while collaborating with various teams to address database-related issues. This full-time role requires strong technical skills, with a focus on SQL Server and MySQL, and experience in cloud operations. Competitive salary range is CAD 85,000 to CAD 110,000 per year.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Operational or Production DBA.
- Deep knowledge of SQL Server and MySQL architecture, internals, and advanced features.
- Proven experience administering databases hosted on AWS or Azure.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage robust High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Proactively monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and execute expert-level tuning.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to provide database design input.
