The Senior Contract Management Specialist in Global Site Contracting / Clinical Development Operations may be responsible for ensuring the timely and appropriate execution of Clinical Study Agreements, Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements, Master Clinical Study Agreements, Investigator Initiated Study Agreements, Facility Use Agreements, and other site-related agreements, along with associated budgets and service provider agreements linked to CSAs. This role works closely with R&D business teams, including Clinical Development Operations, Finance, Office of Ethics & Compliance, Legal, and external partners. Responsibilities include drafting, negotiating, executing agreements, and ensuring final contracts are delivered on time, within fair market value, and in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. The SSCM acts as a contract management expert within the organization, mentoring colleagues and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely preparation and execution of CSAs, CDAs, budgets, and vendor agreements. Serve as the point person for assigned regions regarding legal, financial, and clinical operations.
• Negotiate site agreements and budgets with investigators, using templates and guidance, and liaising with legal for approval of changes.
• Contribute to updates of legal and budget templates and playbooks.
• Maintain accurate tracking and documentation of agreements and related information.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to prioritize and communicate contract issues, escalating as needed.
• Lead process improvement initiatives within the contract management function and serve as a subject matter expert.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, managing workloads and supporting junior staff.
• Collaborate with Country Operations Managers to ensure effective contract management at country levels.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in healthcare, legal, business, or scientific fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical research, contracts, or budgeting, with knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and business skills.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills, with fluency in English and local languages if applicable.
• Proactive team player capable of working under ambiguity and managing multiple priorities.
• Experience in management roles and financial analysis is advantageous.
