Job summary

A leading camps logistics provider in Canada is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals for the role of Fueler / General Labourer. Responsibilities include fueling heavy equipment and performing general labor tasks, ensuring efficient camp operations. Candidates must have prior fueling experience, complete required safety courses, and possess strong communication skills. The position offers competitive pay at $350 per day for a 12-hour shift and is fully remote on a rotational schedule.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a fueler or in a similar role is required.
  • Must be able to complete the TDG ground course, the safe fuel handling course, and WHMIS.
  • General labor experience in construction or mining is an asset.
  • Must have previous camp experience ideally in Arctic or similar extreme conditions.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to fueling operations.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
  • Valid driver's license is required; Class 3 with air is highly preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain clear documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including possible overtime or night shifts as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of equipment and fuel areas.
  • Complete daily inspections and ensure all fueling operations comply with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Perform general labor tasks including assisting with site maintenance, equipment cleaning, and material handling.
  • Document fuel usage and equipment maintenance logs accurately.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to support project goals and timelines.
  • Assist with other general labour duties when needed (e.g., snow removal, waste management).

Description

MATRIX is a national company providing camps logistics and aviation management services to a diverse range of clients in the resource and service sectors. We are currently seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Fuelers/General Labourers for various projects across Canada.

In this position you will be responsible for both fueling equipment and performing general labor tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our camp systems. We offer excellent career advancement opportunities and a supportive dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fuel various types of heavy equipment trucks light plants and generators as required.
  • Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of equipment and fuel areas.
  • Complete daily inspections and ensure all fueling operations comply with safety and environmental regulations.

Benefits

Charter flights to and from Edmonton to the Project site are provided as well as all food and accommodations while in camp on shift.

Day rate $350 based on a 12 hour shift.

This position is working on a rotational schedule of 3 Weeks in 3 Weeks out or 4 in 2 out (Fully Remote).
