Remote

1. Build, configure, and upgrade CICS Transaction Server regions independently.
2. Maintain and support the IMS, MQSeries, and DB2 subsystems including procs, JCL, datasets, and system libraries.
3. Restore service and resolve complex problems across multiple subsystems through root cause analysis and preventive actions.
4. Lead moderately complex projects, including both client-driven initiatives and internal upgrades.
5. Install and support vendor products running within CICS, IMS, MQ, and DB2 environments.
6. Execute backups and perform reorganizations of IMS RECONS, MQ Pagesets, and DB2 system datasets.
7. Implement and maintain Inter-region communication methods such as MRO and ISC in CICS.
8. Support and configure MQ Pagesets, buffer pools, channels, and related resources.
9. Perform change management functions such as ticket handling and implementing approved modifications.
10. Coordinate cross-functional technical teams during incidents, recovery efforts, and planned maintenance.
11. Monitor system health and enforce audit compliance across IMS, MQSeries, and DB2 environments.
12. Create and maintain IMS, MQ, and DB2 subsystems, including configuration of related subproducts.
13. Apply PTFs and HIPER maintenance across test and production environments.
14. Perform Disaster Recovery planning, system preparation, and execution of DR drills across all relevant subsystems.
15. Manage virtual console support, MVS utilities, security (ACF2, RACF, or Top Secret), and automation monitoring tools.
16. Interpret assembler code and dumps for issue resolution and Exit handling.
17. Tune DB2 bufferpools, SYSPLEX, and DataSharing configurations for optimal performance.
18. Interface with vendors and internal support teams for advanced troubleshooting and solution design.
19. Develop automation routines and strategic improvements for monitoring, failover, and recovery processes.

• Strong understanding of CICS Transaction Server internals, including Storage Protection and Transaction Isolation.
• Proficient in IMS, MQSeries, and DB2 Systems Programming tasks, including security enforcement and performance tuning.
• Familiar with MVS tools: TSO / ISPF, JCL, IBM Utilities, VSAM Utilities, SDSF.
• Experience with IBM Assembler for reviewing Exits and dump analysis.
• Knowledge of MQ Distributed Queue Management and DB2 DSNZPARM parameters.
• Exposure to system automation tools such as CA-OPS / MVS, CA-Sysview, and IBM-SA.
• Ability to manage cross-subsystem dependencies in complex environments.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities across concurrent project timelines.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a distributed team.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with global teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in leading and mentoring team members on subsystem projects and initiatives.
• Proactive in identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for automation and service optimization.
• Security and audit support experience, including evidence collection and remediation of non-compliances.
• Remote work with participation in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.
• May require coordination across time zones and involvement in weekend or off-hours work for critical support and maintenance activities.
