Remote Mainframe z/OS DB2 Specialist - Performance & DR
Job summary
A leading technical talent provider seeks a Mainframe z/OS DB2 Specialist to support a major financial client account. This remote role in Canada offers a 12-month renewable contract with a competitive rate of $100 - $115/hr. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree, extensive experience with DB2 on z/OS, and strong troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining DB2 subsystems, performance tuning, and providing technical support.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with DB2 system programming on the z/OS platform.
- Strong knowledge of z/OS components and architecture.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Install, customize, and maintain the DB2 subsystem on the z/OS platform.
- Monitor DB2 performance and tune the system.
- Provide technical support to application developers.
