Job summary
A technology solutions company in Ottawa seeks a Contracts Specialist to support sales and partner success teams. This role involves reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements and providing legal counsel. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree and experience in the software/technology industry. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a security clearance from the Government of Canada.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of legal experience or 2-4 years negotiating contracts in the software/technology industry.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen and ability to build collaborative relationships.
Responsibilities
- Review, negotiate, and draft commercial agreements.
- Support RFP submissions and identify potential risks.
- Conduct reviews of existing contracts for compliance.
- Provide practical counsel on legal matters including IP and employment law.
- Contribute to special projects across the organization.
