Community Janitor & Facility Cleaner (Night Shifts)
Job summary
A local First Nation community in Ontario is seeking Janitors to maintain cleanliness and hygiene of community buildings. Responsibilities include cleaning, reporting maintenance needs, and ensuring a safe environment for all. The ideal candidate will have previous janitorial experience and communication skills, with preference given to those familiar with the community. This role offers a starting wage of $19.00 per hour, and applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and references.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial experience is required.
- Valid G License preferred.
- First Aid and CPR preferred.
- Good relationships with and knowledge of the community preferred.
- Valid WHMIS certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain overall cleanliness of the building.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines.
- Perform regular cleaning tasks and disinfect surfaces.
- Report maintenance needs to the Community Complex Supervisor.
- Travel to locations within M’Chigeeng as needed.
