• Own the design, implementation, and verification of components using standard software engineering methodologies.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high development standards.
• Collaborate with other teams to deliver and operate large-scale, distributed services in the cloud.
• Work on overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Mentor other engineers, define our technical culture, and help build a fast-growing team.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of experience in leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Amazon offers a competitive compensation package, including:

• Base salary ranging from $150,700 to $251,700/year depending on experience and location.
• Equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a total package.
