A large financial institution is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a 1-year hybrid contract in South Frontenac, Ontario. You will be responsible for month, quarter, and year-end insurance reporting, including reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting the IFRS 17 project. Ideal candidates have over 5 years of experience in external reporting and strong accounting skills. Apply with your resume to join a pivotal project.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in an external reporting role.
- Strong knowledge or experience in accounting for insurance.
- Intermediate Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot tables.
- Experience with process documentation and improvements is a plus.
Responsabilités
- Backfill the team for month, quarter and year end insurance reporting.
- Perform reconciliations and journal entries.
- Document and streamline existing processes.
- Support the IFRS 17 project as needed.
Connaissances
Our client, a large financial institution, is looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst to their team for a 1 year contract to help with their IFRS 17 transition. In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will backfill the existing team for month, quarter and year end insurance reporting including reconciliations and journal entries, documentation and streamlining of existing processes and supporting the IFRS 17 project as needed.
**This role is hybrid and will be in the office 1-2 times a week.
To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications;
- 5+ years in an external reporting role
- Strong knowledge or experience in accounting for insurance
- Intermediate Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot tables
- Experience with process documentation and improvements is nice to have
