Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in North York. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in public accounting and corporate tax, looking to make a significant impact through direct client engagement and leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Engage in direct communication with clients to address and resolve complex accounting and tax issues.
- Compile and produce accurate financial statements in accordance with established guidelines.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in strict compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Prepare corporate tax returns for various investment companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct preparation of Notice-to-Readers and participate in assurance work.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Qualifications:- CPA Designation is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Canadian public accounting.
- Strong expertise in accounting practices and corporate tax knowledge.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Outstanding communication and client service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Proficient teamwork skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience with TaxPrep, CaseWare, and Caseview is essential.
