Job summary

A governmental organization in Richmond, Nova Scotia is seeking a Graphic Designer to supervise a team and ensure high-quality visual communications. Responsibilities include estimating project timelines, coordinating production for various mediums, and consulting with clients to achieve desired effects. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. This is an on-site position with no remote work options.

Responsibilities Tasks
  • Supervise other graphic designers or graphic arts technicians
  • Estimate time to complete graphic designs and illustrations
  • Work in a multidisciplinary environment>
  • Co-ordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials
  • Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials
  • Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication
  • Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives
  • Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers
  • Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements
  • Use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides
