We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a fixed‑term post of 8 months (until August 2026).

The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 plus on call.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for candidates to join a growing team at the Institute of Neurological Sciences. The Senior Clinical Fellow (Mat leave cover) in Neurosurgery position in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde provides exceptional training and educational access, alongside widening a trainee’s clinical experience and management capabilities.

The post‑holder will be expected to support in the delivery of ward‑based and clinic‑based activities, as well as supporting the access to theatres to develop a fellows skills. This fellowship is a general neurosurgical fellowship, and the post‑holder will be expected to participate in a 16‑person trainee rota for the out of hours cover.

Post‑holders will be assigned clinical appraisers who can support the development of the fellows.

The CREST form must be completed by a consultant who has worked with you for a minimum continuous period of three months whole‑time equivalent wholly within the 3.5 years prior to the advertised post start date for which you are applying.
