The Registered Nurse in the ED works within a multidisciplinary team at Juravinski Hospital, providing and coordinating patient care in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment. Opportunities exist for further specialization in Critical Care Response and Transport Teams after gaining experience.

Rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Experience in Emergency Department (within 2 years) preferred
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (asset)
• Trauma Nursing Care Competency (asset)
• Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (asset)
• Completion of Critical Practice orientation or Critical Care certificate (preferred)
• Understanding of Elder Friendly Care principles
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Teamwork and commitment to patient experience
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ongoing learning commitment
