Be our next Traffic Operations & Safety Engineer!

In this role, you will be part of the Transportation sector, working on a variety of projects.

Lead or assist with analysis and design efforts in areas such as:

• Road safety reviews and audits, including HSM methodology, countermeasure identification, network screening, data analysis, human factors, and operational reviews.
• Proficient use of Synchro software; familiarity with VISSIM is desirable.
• Arranging site visits and data collection.

Design traffic operations devices and facilities, including:

• Pavement markings and signs.
• Traffic management plans for roadway and infrastructure projects.
• Accesses, intersections, complete streets, traffic calming, and innovative technologies.
• Policy development for road authorities.
• Preparing technical reports, presentations, and client communications.

Assist with project management and business development within the Transportation Group, including:

• Project proposals, task delivery, budget management, and quality control.
• Leading small projects or tasks independently.
• Supervising junior team members.
• Contributing positively to team culture and environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with 10+ years of related Traffic/Transportation experience.
• P. Eng. designation with PEO is required.
• Experience with transportation modeling software, GIS, AutoCAD, and emerging applications.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and technical documentation, including the Ontario Traffic Manual and Highway Traffic Act.
• Experience with specialized traffic assessment and design software such as Synchro, VISSIM, AIMSUM, and AutoTURN.
• Understanding of Transportation Demand Management and active transportation facilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, managing multiple projects efficiently.
