A local government entity is seeking temporary full-time Mower Operators in Alberta. This role involves operating equipment for grass and weed control on municipal land. Candidates must have experience in lawn care, mechanical aptitude, and relevant certifications. Responsibilities include mowing, herbicide application, and performing maintenance duties. Sturgeon County is hiring up to five (5) temporary full‑time Mower Operators for approximately 18 weeks (May 19 – September 18, 2026). This position operates equipment to control grass and weeds on municipal land and road allowances.
This is a safety sensitive position as it operates various equipment on County worksites.
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm (10 hour days).
