Key Qualifications :
The Regulatory Analyst is the go-to subject matter expert responsible for providing timely and accurate advice to a growing operations department and client base. A strong sense of ownership and pride over principal duties is required. This role offers opportunities to work independently and collaboratively to achieve comprehensive results.
- Answer incoming inquiries from clients
- Review and process post-entry adjustments
- Research and respond to requests for complex information professionally
- Analyze and interpret information received from clients or internal team members
- Perform complex classification for goods across all industries
- Analyze the BOM (Bill of Materials) and prepare the CUSMA and other free trade agreements
- Conduct analysis on client tariff database and update accordingly
- Liaise with appropriate government departments as required
- Prioritize and complete work according to project demands, customs requirements, and Willson standards
- Participate fully with other team members in daily operations, including setting priorities, organizing work, coordinating, problem-solving, and decision-making
- Occasional travel to our US HQ may be required to support system and/or product launches
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Educational Requirements :
- High School Diploma required; College and/or University Degree in Business Administration is an asset
- CCS Certificate is required
- Minimum five (5) years of Customs Brokerage experience, including two (2) years in consulting, regulatory, or similar professional services
- Strong working knowledge of CBSA and PGA import requirements
- CTCS and/or Professional Designation is an asset
- Proficient in MS Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel; knowledge of ITMr4 is an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical ability
