REGULATORY ANALYST

Canadian Niagara Power Inc. (CNPI), located in beautiful Fort Erie, is looking for a Regulatory Analyst to support the compliance, reporting, rate setting and policy analysis responsibilities of the FortisOntario group of companies including Algoma Power Inc., Canadian Niagara Power Inc. and Cornwall Electric.

The focus of this position is on the reporting and rate setting responsibilities of the department, focusing on quantitative and statistical analysis as well as rate‑setting evidence. This position is responsible for supporting rate applications and filings to the Ontario Energy Board including forecasting and analysis (quantitative and qualitative), in the areas of load/billings, revenues, OM&A and capital. This position will also be responsible for research and analysis for the department as well as supporting internal stakeholders and identifying and mitigating risks.

What makes you a successful candidate?
  • University degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum two years industry experience in a regulated environment.
  • Statistical analysis or data management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple projects and initiatives within established timeline.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Ontario “G” driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
  • Travel to other FortisOntario work locations as required
