Harmac Pacific currently has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Steam Plant Shift Supervisor/Engineer to join our 380,000 tonne per year pulp mill in Nanaimo, BC. As a Steam Plant Shift Supervisor/Engineer, you will supervise the shift operating crews that operate the plant’s Recovery and Power boilers, along with Power Generation Turbines and the Effluent Treatment plant.
The successful candidate must have a 2nd Class Power Engineering certificate of qualification and should have a background working in heavy industry. Well-developed interpersonal skills, a demonstrated track record of building a cooperative work environment, and the ability to manage change in the workplace are important attributes for this position.
Along with your qualifications, you will be a proven performer who is excited about contributing to the business as a whole. You should bring strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
