Our client is looking to fill a Senior Civil Design Engineer role in their Edmonton office. They are a multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm specializing in notable projects throughout Western Canada. This is a mid-sized firm with a family-feel approach toward their work culture.

1. Responsible for the development, design, and management of civil projects.
2. Collaborate with internal colleagues in other engineering disciplines, leading project meetings and communicating necessary information.
3. Work directly with clients onsite, maintain regular communication with regulatory and approving authorities.
4. Create and review project deliverables (drawings, reports) for accuracy, paying strong attention to detail.
5. Keep aware of current and upcoming industry expectations, codes, standards, and customer needs.
6. Assist with business development, new opportunities, and client relationships.
7. Help mentor and monitor junior staff.

1. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in civil engineering and projects, preferably in land development projects.
2. P.Eng designation in Alberta through APEGA is mandatory.
3. Bachelor and/or postsecondary studies in civil engineering.
4. Ability to communicate with various stakeholders (colleagues, field staff, clients, approving municipalities), act as a team-player.
5. Detail-oriented, thorough, organized, and methodical approach to tasks.
6. Self-motivated to continuously improve, ability to plan strategically, and work independently.
7. Creative problem-solver, welcome unorthodox approaches to resolving issues.
8. AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite.
