Job description
Director, Global Money Movement

Meet Benevity
Benevity is the way the world does good, providing companies (and their employees) with technology to take social action on the issues they care about. Through giving, volunteering, grantmaking, employee resource groups and micro-actions, we help most of the Fortune 100 brands build better cultures and use their power for good. We’re also one of the first B Corporations in Canada, meaning we’re as committed to purpose as we are to profits. We have people working all over the world, including Canada, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States and more!

As Director of Global Money Movement Finance, you will play a pivotal role in driving cross-functional initiatives that blend strategy and execution. You will create clarity and accelerate the execution of key corporate priorities. Partnering closely with Product & FinOps leadership teams, you will help clarify strategy, define and track success metrics, and analyze the impact of initiatives on the team’s performance, while also providing core financial planning support. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, FinOps, Go-to-Market and executive leadership to optimize financial performance, shape business strategy, and drive long-term value creation.

What you’ll do
Strategic Planning & Modeling
  • Lead the creation and management of multi-year financial plans for the Platform business, incorporating business goals and long-term strategies.
  • Develop detailed financial models to assess capital allocation, pricing strategies, and product investment opportunities.
  • Deliver insights on key business drivers, unit economics, and market conditions to inform strategic decisions.
Cross-Functional Business Partnering
  • Partner closely with the Director of FP&A
  • Serve as the trusted finance partner to Product and FinOps teams.
  • Collaborate on product roadmap evaluations, go-to-market strategies, and pricing models to drive sustainable business growth.
  • Provide strategic guidance on investment opportunities.
Forecasting, Budgeting & Performance Tracking
  • Own the financial forecasting process for Platform and provide variance analysis to track performance against targets.
  • Regularly present strategic financial insights to senior leadership and support decision-making on key growth initiatives.
  • Track and evaluate KPIs like DV, CSF, CAC, LTV and operational efficiency metrics.
Board Reporting
  • Support the preparation of board decks, executive presentations, and investor communications.
  • Develop actionable financial insights for stakeholders, providing data on company performance, financial risks, and growth opportunities.
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement
  • Drive the enhancement of financial processes and systems to improve accuracy, scalability, and automation.
  • Build, document, and maintain internal controls
  • Leverage technology and financial tools to streamline budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, enabling faster decision-making across departments.
  • Support implementation of new financial planning tool, including building new revenue model for Platform & Interest.
  • FinOps Administration and Ad Hoc Initiatives
  • Review and approve disbursements on a weekly / monthly basis.
  • Identify and take on additional FinOps Admin workstreams that will improve operating efficiency.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support key business decisions and strategic initiatives.
What you’ll bring
  • 12-15+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or similar roles
  • Proven experience in financial modeling, scenario planning, and budgeting in high-growth environments.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to drive strategic business decisions, particularly in a tech-driven or product-focused company.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree a plus
Skills & Expertise
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis with deep knowledge of SaaS/fintech metrics (e.g., DV, CSF, CAC, LTV, NRR, operating leverage).
  • Strong data analysis skills, with proficiency in tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or advanced financial modeling software.
  • A strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and the ability to break down complex problems and provide actionable solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and implement systems and processes that improve efficiency and leverage within FP&A
Leadership & Communication
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly to senior executives and board members.
  • A track record of building strong relationships across departments and navigating ambiguity in fast-paced environments.
