Clinical Nurse Specialist MS

The closing date is 28 December 2025

The successful candidate will have experience in neurology - preferably in Multiple Sclerosis - and in case management. We are seeking a keen and enthusiastic person to provide high quality care to patients with MS across the community. You will possess advanced clinical assessment skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate would be passionate about the caring for people with Multiple Sclerosis.

You will be covering the South Bank side of the Humber; base can be discussed at interview. However, the post would require flexible working across the local area to meet service need. This would include flexible working, clinics and home visits.

This post offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse wishing to specialise and develop their skills in case management, assessment, and long‑term treatment of people with Multiple Sclerosis; as well as working collaboratively with a wide range of professionals to deliver education and advice to colleagues within the hospital and community setting.

You will be part of the Multiple Sclerosis Specialist nursing team, who offer education, symptom management, medicine management, advice and support to patients in North Lincolnshire, Northeast Lincolnshire and the wider local area with a confirmed diagnosis of MS.

There will be excellent opportunities to help further your own professional development through internal and external courses.

Main duties of the job

The post holder should have experience of working with patients who have neurological conditions and evidence of ongoing professional development, and they should be able to work independently.

Providing a specialist resource to, and to develop the knowledge of, individuals with MS, their relatives and carers, members of the public, health professionals, statutory and voluntary bodies as appropriate.

To deliver clinics across multiple locations in the North and Northeast of Lincolnshire, and attend patients homes for home visits.

Working in partnership in the care of individuals with MS between a variety of services and settings.

You will need a UK driving licence and must be flexible to working in different localities within the area.

Actively working with colleagues within the MS team to enhance the delivery of the care given to individuals with MS and help inform new practice.

A commitment to teaching and education is equally important, working across organisational boundaries to give staff specialist advice and guidance as required.
