Job summary

Position: Restaurant Manager

Location: Nanaimo, BC V9S 1H1

Work Location: On site

Salary: $ 37.00 to $ 39.00 HOUR hourly (To be negotiated) / 40 hours per week

Employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Schedule: Evening, Morning, On call, Weekend, Overtime required, Flexible hours

Start Date: Starts as soon as possible

Responsibilities
  • Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
  • Monitor staff performance
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Recruit staff
  • Set staff work schedules
  • Supervise staff
  • Train staff
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
