Overview

Airbus Canada is seeking to hire for the A220 Program in the role of Cabin Systems Architect. The role reports to the Head of Overall Cabin Design, A220 Program, and oversees development of solutions in the Cabin Systems perimeter.

EN: The A220 Program is seeking a candidate to join the Chief Engineering organization in the role of Cabin Systems Architect. This role will report to the Head of Overall Cabin Design, A220 Program, and oversee development of solutions in the Cabin Systems perimeter.

In your role, you will
  • Define aircraft requirements and objectives for design modifications and new developments related to Cabin Systems. Primary focus for this position are Oxygen and Water and Waste Systems.

  • Guide and motivate engineering and Cabin supplier teams to deliver engineering solutions and modifications on schedule and cost.

  • Ensure delivery of engineering solutions will satisfy safety, customer and program requirements.

  • Liaise with customer support and production personnel to identify product solutions to resolve pain points in these areas.

  • In conjunction with the A220 Cabin Program team, establish and monitor priorities for developments in the Cabin perimeter.

  • Support the A220 Chief Engineer in developing product evolution planning.

As our ideal candidate, you will demonstrate
  • You have a Bachelor or Master University degree in Engineering or equivalent field.

  • 10 years’ experience in aerospace systems design with demonstrated experience in cabin systems development.

  • Ability to lead transverse technical and cross-functional teams and to challenge technical solutions.

  • Proven capability to present solutions and plans to senior management and customers.

  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating technical solutions and specifications.

  • Awareness of airworthiness compliance process.
