The Bilingual Nurse Case Manager (NCM) is responsible for managing all aspects of the patient journey in a Patient Support Program or Risk Management Program for Clozapine. The NCM will be responsible to identify, assess, and mitigate the risks associated with the development, approval, use, and distribution of pharmaceutical drugs. This program focuses on managing the potential risks related to drug safety, efficacy, side effects, and patient outcomes.

Accountabilities:

1. Reviews the necessary patient information and ensures all required details are accessible to the program.
2. Collaborates with healthcare teams: May include but not limited to Physicians, Pharmacists, Life Labs, and other health care providers.
3. Documents all interactions in electronic health record system.
4. Interacts with partners to obtain relevant results and information to inform on patient health outcomes.
5. Adverse Event Reporting, Risk Assessment, and Intervention identification.
6. Identifies obstacles and channels this information to the Program Manager.
7. Assists in training and development of new NCM’s as needed.
8. Supports and assists peers through regular and ongoing communication.
9. Develops and maintains a positive relationship with the RMP team.

6. Ability to understand and apply medical and/or business knowledge to all aspects of role while complying with professional and ethical standards of practice.

8. Computer skills (Word/Excel).

Qualifications:

1. Licensed in more than one province would be an asset.
2. English and French bilingualism.
3. Case management experience preferred.
4. Minimum 2 years of practical clinical experience as a health care professional.
5. Experience and background in Mental Health are an asset.
6. Experience in public or private third-party reimbursement arena or pharmaceutical industry in sales, managed care, or clinical support is an asset.
7. Experience with Clozapine considered an asset.

Working Conditions and/or Job Requirements:

1. Must possess mobility to work in an office environment and use standard office equipment, including a computer (finite movements such as typing), telephoning and other office functions.
2. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to thirty pounds.
3. Must be flexible to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings, to support frequent local and regional/national travel to client sites or tradeshows for presentations, meetings, and visits.
