A deicing service provider in Goffs, Nova Scotia is seeking an Aircraft Deicer to ensure the safe removal of ice from aircraft. Responsibilities include inspecting for frozen contamination, following safety procedures, and participating in pre-planning for operations. The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma, meet age requirements, and possess a valid driver’s license. Competitive training and workplace safety conditions are emphasized.
Integrated Deicing Services (IDS) is part of The Inland Group of Companies. At IDS, our sole focus is the safe, efficient, and professional delivery of deicing and anti-icing services to our carrier customers.
The primary role of the aircraft deicer is to remove ice from the aircraft. The individual in this position inspects the aircraft for ice and for remaining frozen contamination after the deicing has been performed. He or she sprays the airplane down with the deicing fluid, which is usually made of glycol.
