A municipal employer in Winnipeg is seeking a Safety Technician II to provide technical support in safety services. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting safety inspections, developing training programs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Candidates should have relevant safety training experience and a background in delivering educational programs. Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week
Salary: $2,506.39 - $2,740.34 biweekly as per the Safety Technician II classification

Under the general supervision of the Safety Officer, the Safety Technician II provides technical support services to line management/supervisors and their staff. This includes tasks related to safety training, inspections, environmental monitoring, statistical analysis, incident investigations, and research. They assist the Safety Officer in developing and conducting training programs, as well as monitoring compliance with Workplace Safety and Health Regulations, Departmental Safety Policies/Directives, Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) and safe Work Practices within the Public Works Department.
