KNDS Canada Inc. operates in the defence sector, supporting complex industrial and government programs while adhering to strict Canadian, international, and regulatory standards.
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to manage core accounting functions and ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and reporting excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations using QuickBooks.
- Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with Canadian accounting standards.
- Prepare and file GST/HST, payroll deductions, and other CRA remittances.
- Support corporate tax preparation in coordination with external tax advisors.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist with year-end close and external audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA designation (CPA, CPA-CA, CPA-CMA, or CPA-CGA) desirable.
- Minimum 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (mandatory).
- Strong experience with CRA filings, GST/HST, payroll, AP/AR.
- Solid knowledge of Canadian accounting standards.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or defence-related environments is an asset.
