The Opportunity

Leavitt Industrial Group is looking for a Safety Coordinator to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. As the Safety Coordinator, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive safety culture across all branches, including building effective business relationships, ensuring compliance, and supporting safety initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Acting as first point of contact for all safety incidents
  • Conducting or assisting with annual safety audits
  • Assisting in the review of policies and procedures
  • Supporting joint Health and Safety Committee members and Safety Captains, ensuring compliance across branch locations
  • Ensuring monthly activities, inspections, training, and other safety requirements are met
  • Participating in safety integrations for new business acquisitions
  • Completing pre-qualification packages
Qualifications
  • 1 to 3 years of prior work experience in safety administration
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team

The base pay range for this role is: $60,000 to $65,000 per year depending on experience.

This is an onsite role based in Edmonton, Alberta.
