How You’ll Make an Impact

The Manager, Regional Sales (MRS) will partner with the VP Regional Sales to manage the sales team, including either a combination of the Business Development Associates (BDA) and Business Development Managers (BDM), or those groups individually. In partnership with the CS division, they could be responsible for managing the Business Development Representatives.

The MRS advances the usage of the necessary tools and data to apply a consistent sales process to optimize each territory opportunity. They also identify and recommend best practices within and across regions and contribute to firm wide projects through assigned committees. They assist in maintaining strong relationships with universities to attract the best possible candidates.

  • Facilitates the implementation of a consistent territory team model that optimizes sales team effectiveness and ensures territory team cohesiveness.
  • Communicates critical information in regularly scheduled team and one-on-one meetings to advance the understanding and execution of key initiatives.
  • Works with the Regional Vice President and the sales teams to optimize the use and effectiveness of PM access, due diligence, conference participation and other events for the region.
  • Through effective hiring, coaching and performance management practices, aligns closely with Regional Vice President and HR to attract and retain the high caliber people needed to grow and maintain the business.
  • Provides effective coaching to assist Business Development Associates and Business Development Managers to increase sales and enhance relationships with advisors in the Prospecting category.
  • Ensures the region is adhering to BEWG & compliance policies, including expense management and monitoring and confirming all required approvals are received.
What We Are Looking For
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales and/or relevant experience in financial services.
  • Experience managing, coaching, training, and developing employees, preferably in sales.
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal & written).
Education
  • Completion of a university degree or equivalent experience.
  • Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
  • A recognized industry designation (CFP, RFP, CIM, FMA, CFA) or progress toward completion.
