Overview

Inventory Controller — Full-time | On-site | Free parking

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to ensure inventory accuracy, quality of inbound receipts, and data reliability within the system. The role also includes logistics coordination (transportation, follow-ups, customs) and direct support to the sales team (ETAs, expiry dates, inventory levels).

Responsibilities
  • Receive merchandise and perform counts to validate quantity accuracy.
  • Immediately report any damage, discrepancies, or non-conformities upon receipt.
  • Enter receipts into the system and maintain up-to-date inventory records.
  • Perform inventory adjustments and conduct cycle counts and physical inventories as required.
  • Track ETAs and incoming shipments and follow up as needed.
  • Coordinate inbound logistics: scheduling appointments, booking trucks, customs coordination, shipment tracking, follow-ups, and record-keeping (rates, services, tracking, negotiation notes).
  • Prepare and maintain various inventory reports (recurring and ad hoc).
  • Support the sales team by providing key information such as ETAs, expiration dates, and availability/stock indicators.
  • Apply monthly promotions in the system and update price lists.
  • Take on additional related duties as the role evolves.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management (or a related role).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong follow-up skills, particularly for urgent and time-sensitive matters.
  • Professionalism, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills and comfort using inventory management systems.
