The IHealth Site Physician Lead, under the joint direction of the Medical Director / Chief of Staff and the Office of the CMIO, is responsible for local site medical staff engagement, involvement, and adoption of the IHealth initiative.

Activities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Acting as the Primary Liaison for the IHealth Initiative for the site on behalf of the Medical Director / Chief of Staff.
  2. Serving as a Communication Liaison to ensure robust medical staff communication regarding IHealth.
  3. Engagement of Medical Staff: Ensuring a comprehensive engagement plan is in place with relevant messages supported by the IHealth team.
  4. Providing exposure to change through high-level engagement and detailed discussions at the department/division level.
  5. Collaborating with the project team to promote activities such as the virtual physician lounge, PLAY environment, workflow reviews, and simulation sessions to facilitate provider knowledge and participation.
  6. Working with the Provider Education and Experience team to ensure providers complete their education requirements before IHealth go-live and feel confident about their readiness.
  7. Participating in the IHealth activation at the site as the representative for the site and on behalf of the Medical Director / Chief of Staff.
  8. Providing medical oversight by identifying change, education, workflow, or activation issues or risks and assisting in mitigation; escalating issues as needed.
  9. Partnering with site and IHealth leadership to ensure shared understanding of clinical requirements for successful go-live and adoption.
  10. Contributing to system evaluation, including lessons learned, provider feedback, benefits, and metrics to improve the change experience.
  11. Acting as a champion of change by actively engaging, building consensus, and promoting activities to ensure IHealth success.

Additionally, the role involves demonstrating proficient use of the EHR, advising and participating in meetings related to IHealth such as testing, site visits, engagement events, expert groups, leadership meetings, and conferences.

The position also includes active participation in the medical and quality governance structures of the site, such as the Local Medical Advisory Committee and/or the Local Quality Governance structure.

This is a service contract position at Comox Valley Hospital, starting April 1, for 8 months, with a pay rate of $37.01 per hour.
