Your Opportunity

One Permanent Full Time Position.

Capital Power’s diverse team provides excellent opportunities for employees to grow their careers.

You will join Capital Power as a Financial Analyst, CFA Student and a member of the Capital Power Treasury team. This development program provides on-the-job training, in-house training/mentorship, and other educational support to prepare you for challenging assignments within the organization.

During the program you will rotate through different areas within the Treasury team, including time in Corporate Finance and Valuations (approximately one year in each position), as well as time supporting the Credit and Treasury Operations teams and Investor Relations. This program offers a broad range of experiences where you will develop a wide range of skills, including financial analysis, financial modelling and analysis, asset valuation, supporting financing activities including debt or equity raises, credit analysis, and cash management. The skills obtained will help you meet the practical experience needed to obtain a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Additionally, this opportunity provides a competitive remuneration and benefits package, after-hours education assistance (including full financial support of the CFA designation), in addition to a challenging work environment.

What you will bring to the role

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid Office/Work from home position.
  • Hours of Work: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Additional Details

Clearance of credit check is required for this position.
