A regional health authority in Canada is seeking a Dietitian I to provide nutrition expertise to inpatients and outpatients. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing nutrition care plans and providing public health nutrition education programs to promote healthy living. A Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition and registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta are required.
As a Dietitian I, you will provide nutrition expertise to inpatients nd outpatients attending the Cross Cancer Institute to achieve nutrition and health outcomes. You are responsible for nutrition assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nutrition care plans. You may plan and provide public health nutrition services and education programs to promote healthy living and disease prevention for clients/groups in facilities or community settings. Nutrition education is provided to students and other healthcare professionals to support delivery of evidence-based nutrition information.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition. Completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA).
Additional Required Qualifications: As Required.
Preferred Qualifications: A permit for the provision of Parenteral Nutrition is preferred.
