Job summary

A community support agency in Greater Napanee is seeking a Crisis Response Coordinator for a full-time, one-year contract to provide crisis support and case management for victims of crime. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Social Services, strong crisis intervention skills, and excellent communication abilities. The hourly pay is $27.84, with benefits after the probation period. Qualifications

  • Minimum two years experience.

  • First Aid and CPR certification (or agree to obtain).
  • Criminal Background check with vulnerable sector.

  • Providing short-term case management to victims of crime.
  • Monitoring 24-hour emergency line when on shift/call.
  • Completing client risk assessments and creating customized safety plans.
  • Maintaining appropriate record-keeping/documentation and client files.

Job description

Victim Services of Hastings, Prince Edward, Lennox & Addington Counties provides short-term crisis support, practical assistance, information, and referrals to victims of crime and tragic circumstances.

Victim Services HPLEA is seeking applications for the following position: Crisis Response Coordinator – L&A OPP Detachment Fulltime, One Year Contract (with possible extension)

Job Duties:
  • Providing support, information, referrals, and crisis intervention to victims of crime and tragedy.
  • Providing short-term case management to victims of crime.
  • Monitoring 24-hour emergency line when on shift/call (rotational with other staff) and responding on scene if Volunteers are not available.
  • Completing client risk assessments and creating customized safety plans.
  • Maintaining appropriate record-keeping/documentation and client files, statistical and outcome measurement tools as required by VS policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma/degree in a related Social Services field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum two years experience.
  • Crisis intervention skills. Experience providing in-person and telephone crisis intervention.
  • Knowledgeable of community resources within HPELA.
  • Proficient organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills with an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or agree to obtain).
  • Criminal Background check with vulnerable sector.
Additional Information:
